Where you live and your system components may negatively impact the drinking water on your boat. The quality of drinking water varies from area to area and may contain contaminants like dirt, algae, bacteria, rust, scale, chlorine and sediment. Additionally, water may also be contaminated by suspended solids and bacteria which can build up in your boat’s water tank, pipework, pump and taps.
Xylem’s Jabsco Aqua Filta can help remove dissolved impurities but retain beneficial mineral salts, leaving you with fresh, clean water. Designed with a permanently fitted filter head with a replaceable cartridge, Aqua Filta is an activated carbon water filter that removes chlorine, unpleasant smells, tastes and colors from marine water systems using specially, silver-impregnated carbon to inhibit bacterial growth in the filter bed.
IMPORTANT: Always ensure that your water is safe to drink. If in doubt about the safety of your water system, clean it before installing Aqua Filta. If in any doubt about the safety of your water when it reaches your tank, sterilize it. Aqua Filta will remove any resulting tastes or odors, including chlorine residues. Aqua Filta is not a water purifier.
