Brexit Import Duty
Early signs indicate that under WTO rules the Import levy to the UK will be around 3% but an accurate figure is yet to be confirmed. This charge, which is akin to a VAT change, will be unavoidable and affect all major suppliers equally. – Including GM Treble.

Post Brexit Pricing
Trebles believe that the import duty will be due if goods are received/invoiced post Brexit assuming no agreement is made to keep the UK in a customs union whether the order was placed prior to Brexit or not.
In the event of Import Duty being applied post Brexit by the government, these charges will be passed onto our customers.
These potential charges will be based on the date the goods enter the UK, rather than the date the goods are ordered.
In order to avoid potential levy charges, it is advised to place orders and (where possible) receive the goods ahead of 1st January 2021.
“Due to the uncertainty still surrounding Brexit, where possible we are advising customers to both place orders and take receipt of goods, prior to the January 1st 2021 Brexit deadline”.
