Birmingham’s Timber Yard 379 apartment development required a booster water system to suitably service the new 13 floor high building, the designated area to install the booster sets was below ground with very narrow stairway access.

Timber Yard in Birmingham’s Southside district will comprise two residential buildings which will boast a collection of 379 modern apartments. The contractors for the project commissioned JS Wright to manage the building services elements of the project.

“The complication for this job all came from the fact that the access stairway within the building was so narrow. The contractors did not want to have to add time and therefore cost to the development project by adapting the access stairway – so we knew we needed to contact Trebles as they could work with us to come up with a solution.’

Bradley continues,

‘There aren’t many providers who would be adaptable enough to be able fully breakdown and then rebuild a booster on site. – That’s one of the things we really rate about Trebles. They have great technical knowledge but they are also willing and flexible to customers ‘outside of the norm’ requirements”

On delivery of the boosters to site in their component parts; Treble’s engineers then worked alongside JS Wright to rebuild and commission the boosters.

These boosters remain on site ready to service the new multi-million pound development.
