  • Description

The Wilo-Flumen EXCEL is the operationally reliable solution for draining stormwater retention tanks and pump sumps. It impresses with high-speed submersible mixers that are made of high quality stainless steel and installed close to the ground. They constantly generate sufficient turbulence and therefore reliably prevent solids from settling. This also minimises cleaning work when draining stormwater retention tanks and pump sumps. Even during periods of high rainfall and longer running times, the Wilo-Flumen EXCEL has a low clogging rate and is extremely reliable in operation. The new precision-cast stainless steel propellers prevent almost all cavitation, so that low-wearing operation is guaranteed at all times.

  • Advantages
    • Low cleaning work by avoiding deposits during basin draining thanks to installation close to the groundnd
    • Low clogging rate and reliable operation thanks to optimised hydraulics
    • Low-wearing, due to the use of stainless steel precision-cast propellers with the lowest cavitation tendency
    • A wide range of possible uses in diverse applications, even at high-interval running times
    • Reduction of the energy and operating costs due to the standard use of IE3 motors for the best possible thrust coefficient
    • High flexibility thanks to the most diverse installation options and accessories

    Construction

    Propeller

2- or 3-bladed propeller made of solid material with a nominal propeller diameter of 200 mm to 400 mm. Clogging-free propeller geometry design made possible by backward-curved incoming flow edge.

    Motor

Surface-cooled submersible motor in three-phase current design with permanently lubricated und large-size rolling bearings. The motor winding is equipped with temperature monitoring. The motor heat is given off directly to the surrounding fluid via the motor housing. The connection cable is designed for heavy mechanical loads, sealed water pressure-tight against the fluid and is sealed longitudinally watertight. The connection cable has bare cable ends and is 10 m (33 ft) long as standard.

The submersible motor meets the IE3 motor efficiency class (according to IEC 60034-30).

    Seal

Large-volume sealing chamber with double shaft sealing. The sealing chamber is filled with white oil and absorbs the leakage from the seal on the fluid side. A corrosion- and wear-resistant mechanical seal is used on the fluid side. The seal on the motor side involves either a rotary shaft seal or a mechanical seal.

    Option
    • Thermal motor monitoring as temperature controller and temperature limiter
    • Thermal motor monitoring with PTC sensor
    • Fluid temperatures up to 60 °C (140 °F), depending on the motor type and motor capacity
    • Sealing chamber monitoring
    • Ex-rated in accordance with ATEX, FM and IEC-Ex
    • Ceram coating for housing parts made of grey cast iron

    Accessories
    • Mounting bracket for wall and floor fixation
    • Lowering device
    • Auxiliary lifting device
    • Cable bollard to secure the hoist cable
    • Adjustable stop
    • Additional rope anchoring
    • Fixation sets with anchor bolts
