Description
Discharges from the combined system and rainwater discharges are associated with high pollutant inputs into water bodies. Among other things, the solids suspended in wastewater act as a transport medium for a variety of pollutants, such as heavy metals, PAHs, MKW or endocrine disruptors. Particles of the fine fraction and organic solids in particular are able to bind pollutants to a greater extent due to their good sorption capacity. The particle separator with lamellae ensures efficient separation of these particles.
-
Advantages
- Fixed, inclined lamellas ensure large settling areas in the smallest possible space and result in a compact structure
- The settling surface is reduced due to the separator geometry and the sedimentation capacity is significantly increased
- The separation of fine particles takes place between plates or within tubes, whereby the sedimentation is favored by the upward flow and no additional energy is required
- Modular expandable system, which is suitable for both the planning or retrofitting of a plant

Technical Features
Design
Particle separator with lamellae for efficient fine particle separation
Application
The concept of the particle separator with lamellae is based on a modular, expandable system for the highly efficient separation of fine particles from combined and rainwater runoff by means of sedimentation. It is suitable for planning or retrofitting in central sedimentation systems as well as for use in decentralised treatment units.
